I'm a full-time homemaker and mother for my family, which includes me, my husband, and three children, Red Chief, Tiger Lily, and Baby. In a former life, I taught violin, wrote software manuals, and managed a school computer lab. I have a BA in English.

I enjoy reading, writing, grammar, cooking (usually), baking, sewing, embroidering, gardening, and sleeping. I teach a few violin students and play in a community orchestra.

I eat a whole-food, plant-based diet for many reasons, but mainly to help my rheumatoid arthritis.

I use this blog as a place to share my experiments, projects, and interests.

Feel free to email me any time at mrs(dot)mordecai(at)gmail(dot)com.

  1. We have a Square Foot Garden too! Check out Dripworks for your watering needs. They're awesome. They'll help you figure out what parts you need for free. We water our Phoenix garden with their products and it works great!
