This is our summer garden bed, planted with tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers from the nursery. Not looking too impressive yet, but I'm sure it will be a jungle in a few months.
This is our spring garden bed, which is thriving. It's nice to see it filling out—I planted everything in this bed from seed! Bugs ate a few plants (kale, kohlrabi, broccoli, beets), but enough things survived that I'm happy.
The left bed is planted with a few herbs, greens, and squash, and I need to put in pumpkins, corn, and beans.
I had grander plans than this for the summer garden, but I ran out of energy and my husband ran out of time. There will be no fence in the middle to support the tomatoes and cucumbers, and the sides will not be planted with marigolds and nasturtiums. This is how it will be this year, and I'm okay with that. We will probably still get plenty of vegetables.
