Greens for the freezer

The greens in our garden were getting out of control, so I picked two huge bowls full of a mixture of three varieties of chard, spinach, spinach mustard, beet greens, and arugula.

The garden looks a bit tamer now, and with any luck, my plants will grow new greens soon.

I ended up with three bags of steamed greens for the freezer, plus some extra to eat for my afternoon snack. It's amazing how little they cook down to.

We've also been eating and giving away lettuce like crazy. I'm not sure how much longer it will last: the weather is warming up too fast for my taste.
