November harvest

The frost has killed most of our garden except for the frost-hardy plants I put in late this summer (probably a little too late).

It was fun to pick my own salad of lettuce, Swiss chard, and beet greens in November. They were perfect with a green garden tomato ripened in the garage and a homemade balsamic vinaigrette.

I'm planting more greens next year!

  1. I had a beautiful crop of lettuce and spinach about ready to harvest and the squirrels discovered them. No more lettuce or spinach :(

  2. I'm growing lettuce around the perimeters of the bush infront of my stairwell. They're coming up great!
