Lately I have been paying more attention to smells around my home: clean sheets; bread dough; a recently bathed child; my hands after I peel an orange; toasted sesame seeds on top of our French bread; raw oats; the salt-and-vinegar water for poaching eggs; the heavenly freshly baked currant scones that smell better than they taste (and they taste awfully good!).
I hereby resolve to breathe more deeply around the house and take in the lovely smells of homemaking.

I love the wonderful smells of a clean house... and of cooking.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it when my house smells good. I dread it when there's a bad smell I can't find though!
