I know what I'll be doing this weekend! LDS General Conference is on. It's kind of like a Mormon holiday—instead of going to church, we watch our leaders on TV (or listen on the radio, or tune in on the internet).
We have our own special traditions for conference weekend. We display pictures of the church leaders in our home beforehand to help the kids get familiar with their names and faces, so they'll recognize them when they see them speak.
We also have special snacks during conference. We keep three or four bowls of different snacks, and label them with different words we might hear during conference, such as Jesus Christ, temples, or families. Each time we hear one of the special words, we get the corresponding snack. The kids absolutely adore doing this.
Below is an infographic about General Conference. Those are some pretty big numbers!
