Walnuts

I've never used nuts much in my baking. Not because I don't like them—I love them—but because I'm a cheapskate and they're just one more thing to buy.

But the past two weeks I've been using them. I picked some up because I was baking for the fair and thought they might come in handy. They did. And yesterday I used up the last of them in brownies, and I'm not sure I can ever make another pan of brownies without them.

Tiger Lily seems to agree. She just sneaked the last two brownies, along with the rest of the yogurt that Red Chief didn't eat for breakfast. That girl can eat and eat, especially if it's something forbidden.
