2011 reading progress

  • Finish (re)-reading the Oz books (I read ten last year; I've read two this year; there are still two left)
  • Read about Eloise Wilkin (I read the only biography I could find.)
  • Finish reading Home Comforts by Cheryl Mendelson (Just finished! It's an amazing book, very long, and I learned a lot. Review here.)
  • Read two parenting books
  • Read two classics I haven't read before
  • Read Great Expectations (In progress.)
  • Read a science book
  • Read a book on grammar or the English language
  • Read a book by C.S. Lewis
  • Read the new biography of President Monson (Done! I loved it.)
By the numbers: 5 down, 10 to go. I've also read 162 books to my kids.

Having a list has really helped my focus. I'm reading more challenging books—books I always want to have read, and always think about reading, but usually don't pick out.

  1. I just wanted to thank you for your lists showing your accomplishments. It helps remind me of what I've done. I especially like to read your creativity lists, because I used to say I wasn't creative. That isn't true, I may not be ARTISTIC, but I AM creative. Just, thank you for an upbeat, fun blog. I enjoy following it.
