Guessing game

Here is where Mr. Mordecai went on his business trip . . . do you know what country it is? How about the city? Hint: the second picture below is the subway.

I've had a shocking lack of giveaways on this blog. Isn't that what you're supposed to do when you blog? I've never celebrated a blogiversary (because really, how can I stand such an ugly word? ugh, I can't believe I just used it on my blog) or a hundredth post or anything like that.

So, to make up for my negligence, everyone who takes a guess will go into a drawing for a vintage cookbook. I'll throw in an extra book if you get the country right, and two if you get the city right. I'll pick the winner on Thursday.

What a fun trip for Mr. Mordecai to take!

I've never done a giveaway on my blog before either, but I will admit to using the word "blogiversary" before. Hopefully we can still be friends... :D

  4. It looks just like one of the places I saw in Rick Steves Europe. My gut reaction was Moscow, Russia.

Mr. M: Feel free. I know you've always wanted a copy of Betty Crocker's 1960 Kids' Cookbook.

  9. I'm guessing.....Moscow. Maybe it was because of the Kremlin. Maybe it was that three other people guessed it, too. But that's what I'm thinking.

By the way, thanks so much for answering my question about the chipotle chiles. It was very helpful. The next book I want to get from the library is The Best New Recipe. I'm sure I'd learn a lot from it.
