Got FHE?

Need a Family Home Evening lesson for tonight? I posted a lesson about prayer geared toward young children on the FHE blog yesterday.

  1. We haven't done FHE for a long time (since last semester) and it bothers me. If it counts, we read together last night for a few hours. How do you pick a day, and is it difficult to keep on that schedule for you all?

  2. We just pick a day and stick to it. FHE takes priority over other commitments. It's not hard for us to do it because we don't schedule other things at the same time.

  3. Mrs. Mordecai is being a bit too modest. It is a sacrifice at times. Mrs. Mordecai has repeatedly turned down opportunities to play in a better orchestra because they have their rehearsals on the night we have chosen (Monday).

When all is said and done, it's a choice. Mrs. Mordecai has chosen that having a consistent evening together as a family is more important than the other things that come up.

  4. It sounds like something worthwhile to do even if you aren't lds.
