Hello, Mr. Fox

A few weeks ago, we all went to see the movie Fantastic Mr. Fox in the theater.  Then we read the book together before bedtime over a few weeks.

Ladies and gentlemen, Bob the Builder has now become Mr. Fox.

I made him a tail—I couldn't help myself—although I wonder if I'll live to regret it, as I got thoroughly sick of Bob the Builder before that phase was over.

  1. That has got to be one of the cutest things I have ever seen. Seriously.

My oldest used to want to play this game she called "kitty in and kitty out" incessantly when she was a toddler. It involved her pretending to be a poor lost kitten outside of our door. I would hear her mewing, let her in and care for her. Very cute... the first 317 times one plays it, but it rapidly loses its appeal thereafter. Maybe if I had made her a cute tail like Red Chief's I could have borne it with more equanimity;)

  2. How cute! Kids are so funny. Kaia has been through so many phases, where Mo is still stuck on monster trucks and thomas. And you will probably be tired of Mr. Fox long before he is :)

  3. Oh but it is so cute! I think I would prefer Mr. Fox over Bob the Builder any day.

  6. I love the tail, too. Red Chief is getting so big now! I saw you started following me on Twitter. Truth be told, I forgot I had an account, so that tells you how much I tweet, lol.

  8. Yes, it's just made of fabric scraps (and some rickrack and ribbon) tied to bias tape. Just whatever I could find.
