Burrito

Tiger Lily loves being swaddled. Thankfully we have a big batch of flannel blankets provided by the in-laws that do the trick. I'm so glad Mr. Mordecai's aunt taught us about swaddling: Tiger Lily is a very happy baby, but when she gets worked up, sometimes swaddling is the only thing that will calm her down.

  2. All of my babies required swaddling for several months. And since my babies tend to be big it gets tricky finding a blanket that is big enough to keep them wrapped up. I tried the swaddlers you can buy but those turned out to be a waste of money. Did not work at all.
I now have a small collection of blankets that are big enough to keep my babies wrapped up until they are a few months old and no longer need it.

  3. we call it a pea in a pod. our little GD is 6 months old and she still wants to be all swaddled up for sleeping. for some reason, swaddling is a signal for her to calm down and close her little eyes! lol ♥ mercy

  4. I love the waffle weave stretchy blankets for swaddling...They work so well. We have video of my first swaddled while hiccupping...her little head kept poppong up...so cute.
    Tiger Lily looks so sweet...enjoy!

  5. So cute! When I got older (I'm talking like 6 years old), my parents would tuck me in really tightly "like a mermaid." In reality, we all just want to be held :o)

  6. Isn't it incredible the way these old ways are so true. Amelie was just the same, she just to panic herself flapping her hands about when she was over-tired, and swaddling always did the trick. Your swaddling wrap is too precious!

  7. No doubt - it's certainly calming for little ones, it's a trick I show almost all the new moms and dads I work with. Gotta love happy content babies :)
