Bubble-blowing bottle

Red Chief's latest favorite activity: cut off the bottom end of a water bottle, and secure a piece of an old washcloth in its place with rubber bands. Dip into dish soap, and blow through the mouth of the bottle. You'll get a big bubble snake coming out of the end!

This is perfect for three-year-old Red Chief because he can blow the bubbles himself (he still hasn't figured out how to do it the normal way).

  1. Is the dish soap undiluted? That sounds like a really neat project!

  4. I just did this with my three year old yesterday and ended up with a clean glass door as well (well, the bottom half anyway. When he got tired of blowing bubbles, he took the washcloth off and wiped it all over the door.) He had so much fun yesterday, he asked to do it again today. Thanks for the great idea!
