Chocolate cake for breakfast

Step one: mix up some chocolate muffin batter.
Step two: double the chocolate chips and add half a cup of raisins, if you like.
Step three: bake in a 9" or 10" square cake pan at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes.

No need to let slip to anyone how healthy it is. Or how much work you save by dumping the batter into a cake pan instead of dividing it into muffins.

  1. Mrs. M., you crack me up! I must try this out for cards with my girls this afternoon. :-) I shall never divulge how healthy it is. My lips are sealed! ♥

  2. Chocolate cake for breakfast: does life get any better than this?

(Thanks for always being patient with my old quirky memories of Bill Cosby.)

  3. Bill Cosby was the first thing that went through my mind when I saw the title of the post!

  4. But if you cooked it in the muffin pan, I KNOW it would be healthier. Think about it, which sounds healthier, "muffin" or "cake"? :)

  6. The recipe looks so awesome with the whole wheat flour and molasses, can't wait to try this one. Love the tip to bake in the cake pan instead - good time save:)
