Letter to a toddler

After hearing that Red Chief loves to help get the mail, my mother-in-law sent him his very own letter. The envelope was covered in wrapping paper and then in a layer of tape. Red Chief will be able to play with this one a long time before he destroys it!

  1. How thoughtful of your MIL. Red loves getting the mail and opening the envelopes. I usually give him a piece of junk mail to rip into. He just needs to grow a few more inches so that he can actually reach inside the mailbox and get the mail out.

  2. What a wonderful idea! All of the junk mail we get automatically becomes the kids' mail. They enjoy it for a bit before it gets recycled.

All of the junk mail around here is for the kids, too. :)

  4. What a fun idea! My kids love getting mail from their out of state family. Sometimes my mom would put a sheet of stickers inside (when they were old enough to not eat them!) and that would keep them busy for a while too! Glad I found your blog, I am going to go read your posts about grocoery shopping -- I feel like all I ever do these days is buy food and gas!!!!!
